I Had the utmost pleasure to jetset all the way to the wonderful land of America for Surfstitch’s summer shoot, I have never been so far away from home before, I had so many emotions of excitement and fear… soon as I hopped on that plane all that was left was pure excitement. I had my best friend Ains too who was coming along to style, which made everything so much more exciting.

We left Brisbane at 10am Monday morning and arrived to LAX at 6.05am Monday morning, we travelled for almost 14 hours but went back in time… what a mind fuck. I didn’t even sleep for 10 mins on the flight, I realised its probably best to stay awake until 9pm their time to avoid jetlag… let me tell you, that was one long/exciting day… Venice beach is like no where I have ever been before so much poverty plus so much money all in one spot… you walk down the street and there is this exciting buzz going through the air… I was hooked on the place and better yet I got to shoot with one of my fave crew surfstitch here…

We woke early the following day to commence our two day shoot, and I felt as I was hit by a semi trailer, I’ve never felt such tiredness and dizziness before (so this is what jetlag feels like). I thought to myself how the f*#k am I going to have energy to shoot this…. had a coffee, didnt even help… but then I met all the amazing models and we started to get into it, and all those bad jetlag feeling totally disappeared… we literally had the best two days ever, so many laughs, so many amazing humans…

Here is part 1 (october drop) of our surftstich campaign shot at Venice Beach & Santa Monica…
